Wage Statement (WS) Defined

Labor Code that states an employer shall not discharge, threaten to discharge, or in any manner discriminate against an employee because he/she has, or intends to file a claim for workers' compensation benefits. The employee's compensation shall be increased by one-half, but not more than $10,000 if in fact it is determined there was a violation of LC 132a.
